writer – artist – teacher
On Thursday 30th June at 1000hrs, I will facilitate an online panel discussion with four artist-writers (Emma Bolland, Sara Bowler, J. R. Carpenter, Josie Cockram) considering art, writing and their overlaps and intersections. The panelists will each present a short provocation and further discussion will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience. The event will be online on zoom. On Tuesday 15th February 2022, I premiéred a new performance work, ‘revised dictionary supplement’ at University of Plymouth theatre venue, The House.

On Tuesday 15th February, at The House, University of Plymouth, I will present a performance that responds to the text of ‘revised dictionary supplement’, the second of the projects published in At Sounds Like: 3 Projects. Using dance, improvised actions, and gestures I will treat the textual material as a score for movement, as a ground for further inscription, and as an occasion of variant reading. The live event will draw attention to the materiality of language, to writing as going on, to (im)possibilities of (mis)communication.
