barbed gadlyngs

Presented as part of Live Art Falmouth, Falmouth, Cornwall (June 6th and 7th, 2008)

On the bias, against the straight of the fabric, to manufacture an affecting token, a flag of allegiance.

A day-long performance where two neck-ties were cut out, sewn and finished. During the day while carrying out this task, I engaged in conversation with the public and devised a short text. After dark I performed a short public action on one of the piers in the harbour, and followed this up with a closing action the next morning.
