I recently completed my page in Will Clarke’s project, The Book. The Book is an A3 bound volume of blank pages of etching paper. Clarke has invited a number of artists to work on a page each, and as the book makes its journey among them it will build up into a workbook, sketchbook, portfolio.
For the project I considered a way of representing some of the process and action of the performance ‘his voice’ on a page. There are flow diagrams, a representation of some of the visual coding for the Max MSP patch, and some moveable elements that reflect the chance selection of the search terms in the live event.
